Traditions And BlogHer Writing Lab

Yesterday, I noted that I failed miserably at NaBloPoMo and just my luck, they have switched things up a bit for their monthly project with the BlogHer Writing Lab. Check out that link and see if it is something you want to try out maybe!

End of Year Traditions was today’s topic. Since Christmas is at the end of the year, I’m going with that holiday. I have many Christmas traditions.

Specifically, I have certain movies I watch each year. I watch It’s A Wonderful Life and A Christmas Story on Christmas Eve. And yes, I catch the second showing … and maybe a couple of more… of A Christmas Story marathon on TBS. It wouldn’t be right to not hear about Ralphie shooting his eye out if he receives the Red Rider BB Gun he desperately wants.

Love Actually is a fairly new addition to the must watch movie list. I watched it Christmas night and …. yeah, I caught it any other time I could. I need to watch it. Soon. This weekend probably.

Others include Elf, Miracle on 34th Street, White Christmas, Christmas Vacation, Christmas in Connecticut and The Shop Around the Corner. Yeah, I have a lot of much watch movies. I’ve probably even left off a view!

How about you. Traditions? What are your must watch Holiday movies? Anything glaring I left off my list … other than Die Hard?

  1. Love Actually is one of my very favorites. I even have my fiance into that one at this point! We also like Jingle All the Way, Christmas with the Kranks, and absolutely every version of A Christmas Carol. If you like vintage classics, I recommend Meet John Doe starring Barbara Stanwyck.
